Zamość



ZAMOSC
The town is situated in the southern part of lubelskie voievodship.

In 1992, Zamość Old Town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Zamosc received city rights in 1580, under the foundation charter issued by the Chancellor and the Crown Hetman Jan Zamoyski. In the year 1589 the city was the capital founded by the owner of the Zamoyski.
In 1809 Zamosc incorporated into the Duchy of Warsaw and the Congress of Vienna to the Polish Kingdom, which depends on Russia.
Interwar period was a period of development of the city, widened its limits, arose many new institutions and centers, particularly related to the cultural and educational life.




TOWN HALL
City Hall was designed in 1591 , min. by Bernardo Morando , Michael Belter , John Jaroszewicz and John Wolff Renaissance- Baroque . In the years 1639-1651 has been completely rebuilt by the previously mentioned Jan Jaroszewicz and John Wolff , raised the level of the body , expanded arcade and increased faith. In 1770 took place the clock on the tower assembly . The building consists of a rectangular body and three -story staircase leading to the main entrance on the second floor level . The aforementioned steps are fan , supported by five arches , with two symmetrical arms connected to the body rectangular terrace railing of the stairs and the terrace is a stone . In the wall of the central arcade is odkuty in sandstone coat of arms . 6 - storey tower , oskarpowana , czwór side , was topped with a slender contoured helmet with a lantern , finished with a scoop dated ventilators . Lots of elevation on both sides of the turret 6 -axis , fully symmetrical. The property is entirely brick roasted whole , with a roof covered with galvanized iron sheet . Floors and stairs inside are made of iron and concrete . The second and third floor is covered with flat ceilings , and the hallway and staircase is a cross vaults . The front elevation 7 -axis partially obscured stairs. Rear Elevation 8 -axis , 4-axis side .
